It's Hump Day again, if that word has much meaning anymore.
Not having to get up early most mornings, I am usually able to come out of a sleep slowly and enjoy listening to the TV while semiconscious. Usually, around 9 am, I am sufficiently awake to enjoy a rerun of the old Perry Mason show. And then, my day begins.

The only thing I had scheduled for the day was the dining meetup in Beacon. And this allowed me a chance to sleep late. However, my phone woke me up earlier than I'd like, and I couldn't get back into that blissful state of rest that I enjoy after coming out of a deep sleep. When I eventually checked to see who it was that called me, I found it was WDJ. So I planned to give her a call before tonight's meetup. Instead, she called me later on in the afternoon, and we were on the phone for about an hour.
Around 4:30 or so, I decided to get ready to go out as Marian and have dinner with the meetup group. I called Lili on the way up, and she was unable to make it due to errands she was running at the time. However, she said she'd try to make it next week. I arrived a few minutes early, and was able to find a comfortable seat near WDJ. The birthday gal was celebrating her "Big 60", and wore a novelty hat to get a little bit of attention. (I wanted to get a full figure photo of her in the dress. She looked pretty in person, but the picture made her look like a dwarf - her description, not mine. Since the picture did not do her or the dress justice, I did not want to show it here.) We all had a good time, even though the hostess of the meetup was in Europe on holiday. Hopefully, she'll be back next week.

On the way home, I chatted again with Lili. And she asked about the women's meetup that I was asked to leave because I'm trans. Since she didn't know I was asked to leave, Lili got more upset than I had once been. But she calmed down after a while. (I told WDJ about this group a little earlier, and she probably won't be attending this meetup's gatherings either.) Such is the life of a transwoman these days....
