A last day as Mario for a little while.

When I got up this morning, I had several items to address.
  1. Find out if I could get together with YGM one last time before she goes to Florida.
  2. Determine when I could meet with the Cat Lady for a long delayed birthday dinner.
  3. Continue rolling coins. (Put coins in wrappers for deposit.)
  4. Deposit checks.
  5. Pick up my prescription at the pharmacy.
Considering how much I had to take care of which requires being in Mario mode, I figured that I'd look into finally getting my ears pierced sometime tomorrow.

Shortly after I woke up this morning, I started taking care of my task list.  Unfortunately, I only got the first two tasks taken care of.  I'll be seeing YGM on Friday for one last time, and I finally arranged to have that belated birthday dinner.  By the time I decided to get moving, I decided NOT to take the time to roll coins and deposit them.  Nor did I bother to deposit any coins or checks in my possession.  Instead, I went straight to the liquor store down the hill and bought a bottle of red wine for dinner.

Once done with the liquor store, it was off to the Cat Laty's (TCL's) house.  To kill a few minutes of time when I arrived there, I went to a nearby Starbucks.  On the way there, there was a blind man (with cane) crossing the driveway which I was about to use to enter the parking lot. By the time I sat down to drink my coffee, he was ordering his coffee.  The fellow took the seat across from me, and the fellow was given a cup which was not as hot as it should have been. So I then saw how effective a blind man could be in navigating his environment without sight, as well as the limits to his navigation.  This made me grateful that I still have all 5 of my senses in decent working order.

Around 4:30, I drove over to TCL's place.  After about 30 minutes, she asked me to rehang a curtain rod before we left for the restaurant.  Road construction affected the route we took to the restaurant, but we still made it in time for the early bird special.  We enjoyed a leisurely dinner and after dinner cup of coffee, and she mentioned one of the most famous of surgeons performing "bottom surgery."  From the on and off conversation we've been having regarding being transgender, she seems seriously curious about the topic - and wonders where on the spectrum I fit.  We ended up leaving the place shortly before 8:30.  Back at her place, we chatted in the car for a while, and she brought up the topic of Marian attending women's meetup groups. And I wish she'd let up a little, as I understand the point she has made about my prior rejection from one meetup group. But I think that her bringing up this topic is related to her getting a handle on my transgender nature.

Eventually, it was time for me to go home.  So I called GFJ and we chatted for the duration of my drive home.  However, I reached another road blockage (Could there have been a fire?  All the men were wearing fireman's gear.) and had to meander over to a parallel road without asking for directions.  Luckily, I didn't get lost in the maze, and made it to the parallel road with a unfettered drive home.

Regarding TCL -

Sometimes, I feel she is playing detective in regard to my life.  Could she also be trying to play psychoanalyst, given her education?  Could she be trying to figure out whether I am available?  Who knows.  But I know that if things don't work out between GFJ and myself, that I could consider TCL if she could accept me as both Mario and as Marian.
